I had a thought

Something I wanted to write about and the thought has fled.

Kids are on week two of Spring Break. I am staying home this week. My plan is to paint Diego's room, plant our avocado tree (before it dies) and plant a tomato plant or two. Oh, and somewhere in there, try and have some fun with the little one's.

I started watching a show called Doc Martin. I watched all four seasons. I thought it was an older show but it looks like they are coming out with a season 5. I watched it on Netflix but they are showing it on PBS too now.

Siobhan has another doctor appointment tomorrow with her GI. Her medicine arrived so I think I will start it today. We have a Meet and Greet with the LA Galaxy today too. Is there any chance in hell my bracelet will be the one that allows me to meet Beckham? If not, screw it, I don't care! ha ha I'll let you know!

Day 1 San francisco

We had to get up at 5 am! Yikes. I was surprised at how quickly the kids woke up. We left the house a little late so we didn't stop for breakfast at McDonalds like we planned. We made really good time but had to wait a bit for the parking shuttle. Some lady started talking to us, practically learned our whole life story in ten minutes. We checked in, rushed through security and literally ran (okay walked very quickly) to the airplane. I am glad Jet Blue allows you to reserve you seats because otherwise we would have been all over the plane.

The plane ride was nice. Diego was really excited and loved watching cartoons. Siobhan had fun too. Diego was excited about the sun shade. Haha

We took the BART into the city. The kids got a kick of standing up while it was going fast. We had to walk a bit to our hotel. Up a lot of hills good times, ha ha. We found our hotel but it was only 10am we left our bags and went to Lefty O'douls where we had breakfast I have eaten there many times but never for breakfast, it was good.

From there went went to Union Square. We looked at some art and took a few pictures. We walked over to China Town. Shopping Heaven! Picked up something small for the girls at work. Diego got some little gold birds that chirps in the light. Thank goodness that stops in the dark. Siobhan picked out a parisol and I got a little solar dancing pig/dog thing. We also went into Old Saint Mary's Cathedral Church. I have been there so many times. We lit a candle for Eric's grandparents, my dad and I said a special prayer for my friend Melissa who just lost her Dad.

We took a cab back to the hotel because our feet were starting to hurt. We checked in. Our hotel is so cute. It is the Mayflower Hotel. Our room is cute. I am hoping to post photos later. They have a little computer area where the have books and a totally comfy couch too. Siobhan found a couple of books to read.

There is a store next door where we got some water, bananas, string cheese and other snacks. Later we are going to the Apple store (of course) and to get some yummy pizza! Great trip so far.

I want to say a special thanks to Carol (Nana) for staying at our house and taking care of the dogs for us, much less to worry about.

Tomorrow, the wharf!

Day 3 of "vacation"

Hmm, let's see what I have done so far. About nothing. I did color my hair so most of the grey is now unnoticeable. We went to the market, Target (to get what I forgot at the market) and still somehow need jelly. We met Eric for dinner last night, that was nice.

I keep waiting for this "rain". Yeah right. It probably will rain the day I go back to work.

Siobhan and I go to Disneyland on Monday (for free!) for some Bibbity Bobbity Boutique they are having before it opens to the public.

Today, nothing again I think. I kinda enjoy doing nothing as long as the kids can play in the backyard.

Vacation from work coming up!

I am going to enjoy 8 days off work. Siobhan has a week and a half off for Easter so I thought I would take some time off too. We might go to the beach a couple of days, put the blow up pool in the back, go to the Santa Ana zoo, park, who knows. The road is open!

I am looking forward to sleeping in a bit. Usually whenever I am off I still have to get up and take someone to school, but not this time!

I go back to work on a Thursday and then hopefully Eric will be off that Thursday and then Friday is his flex.

No big plans for Easter. An egg hunt of course. Anyone else have any plans?

Our trip to Knott's Berry Farm

We rode the log ride 3 times. Diego and Siobhan loved it.

Finally a pleasurable Monday

I have today and tomorrow off from work. No reason. Just because. I thought I would spend some time with the kids before they go back to school. Today we went to the Santa Ana zoo and out for lunch. Headed back home for a little nap and a bit of Wii playing. Nice. Calm. No real plans, just enjoying the day.

Tomorrow we will go to the beach. I decided to wait a day so Krystal can go with us. She had track today. A few hours at the beach and I think we will all need a nap. Nice way to start a week. I go back to work on Wednesday but not so hard to do after a couple extra days off.

Next month I took a week off and Eric and I are trying to plan at least one special thing to do with the little one's. Not sure yet, maybe the Wild Animal Park? Otherwise, I will enjoy a week of today's. We can always find something to do.

My vacation...so far

Friday I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with my two blogger friends. Our kids had a great time playing.
Saturday we watched the LA Galaxy practice at The Home Depot Center. You might think Bechham is my favorite player, but no, it is Mike Randolph
Then we went to lunch with our cousins. Siobhan went to Sandee's house until Jasso movie night, "The Return of the Invisible Man".
Sunday for Easter we hung out here, as usual. The kids found Easter baskets and hunted for eggs. We had a small dinner and relaxed at home. It was nice. No fuss. I actually LET Krystal drive. I figured if there was one day God would be really keeping an eye out... ha ha. She did okay!
Monday the kids and I started cleaning their room. It is hard having two little one's with a lot of stuff in one room. Eric came home and couldn't believe how messy the house was. Every-time I walked in their room I felt overwhelmed so they had to bring the stuff to me (still working on that project!)Bradley did some sanding on the kitchen cabinet doors. Siobhan had gymnastics, then we all went out to dinner.
Tuesday Eric worked half day. We picked up lunch and took the kids to Irvine park. We ate lunch
and Diego rode a pony. and we rode the train. Last night Bradley and I took the little one's to story time over at the new library. I might try and take Siobhan to the story time for older kids. She is really enjoying reading. I can't believe how much she can read by herself already.
Today? Well, I don't know yet. I have also enjoyed myself playing Lost in Blue 3 on the DS as well as Diner Dash 1, 2 and Flo on the Go on my mac. Ahhh, vacation!

I have put a lot of pictures up on Flickr. I usually put them all here but we have been taking photos like crazy. Want to check them out? Click here for Flickr!
