I would like to say, yet again...

....that I am NOT meant to be a stay at home mom. I am on my second day home with sick little Diego and I would not have it any other way. At the same time, I feel another part of me pulling. The "I need people" part. I have called my husband TOO many times today, talked to Natalie a couple of times. At this point, I am hoping a tele-marketer might call.

Seriously, I give two thumbs up to the stay at home moms who make it work.

¡Usted me hace completo!

sleep? what sleep?

I have to admit I forgot what it is like to have a sick child. There is no sleeping at night. Actually Diego did fine, but that damn Tylenol only last four hours! So, like a good mommy, I set my alarm to go off every four hours. (There is NO way I would wake up on my own!)

So, I am home today. There is just something that aches if you can't be with your child when he is sick. Krystal is at summer school, Siobhan is at preschool, and Bradley is here with me. Of course I am going to have to go to the store to get MORE Tylenol, juice, and who knows what else. Still, there is nothing like holding a baby who is so big that you only get to hold him when they are sick. (It is the only time he will be still!)

yikes

When I got home today, I took one look at Diego and knew he wasn't feeling well. He had a temp of 103.4 when I finally gave up and just got some meds in him. He is doing much better now (about 4 hours later) and attempting to go to sleep. Poor little guy, I hate when kids don't feel well.

Eric and Krystal decided to make a little after dinner treat of mussels. Please, continue down and see Siobhan enjoy her share. She ate more than I did ( I am not too fond of the little fellows). hee hee

Here is a picture of Siobhan and her Nino Richard. Does she love him or what? We went to see him play at G. Billotas in Brea on Friday night. I would recommend going there, especially on Friday, Saturday or Sunday night when Richard is there with Lee Ferrell. Food is really great too!

None the wiser

The CT scan showed the bile duct is dialated ( but the GI Dr. said that shouldn't cause pain) all else seems fine. Auugghhh! So I am going to have a MRI done to see what they can see. Of course the MRI isn't for about 3 more weeks. What is three more weeks of pain?

Hee hee, thanks cousin for all your help! Thanks to the last Dr. I saw, he was great!

well...

...I went to the doctor yet again. I have had a pain since the gallbladder surgery and it has not gone away. Sometimes it hurts so much I can hardly walk. The doctor was great. He said he thinks I have gallstones in my liver. What? Figures! Tomorrow I go for a CT scan to find out what is what.

My Dad wants to know if I am shooting for a surgery per month, funny one Dad!

I will let you know...

Dog Park

Tonight Siobhan and I took Cucui to the dog park in Orange (corner of Yorba and E. Chapman). They two parts, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. I can't believe how many people were there, not to mention dogs! ha ha

It actually was pretty cool. They have plenty of balls around and there is fresh water with containers. Plenty of poop bags as well. (ick, but you must be a responsible dog owner!)

I plan to take her every Monday night while Bradley is at one of his (very) many soccer practices. Anyone want to join us?

Spike TV...

... please bring back my MXC. They took off two episodes on Thursday night for some new show. Let the new show get its own time slot. I asked Eric to leave the new show on for a little bit so I could see if it was good enough to replace MXC, and NO, it is not! (Right you are Ken!)

So Spike TV, please give me back my four back to back episodes of MXC. If not Thursday night, any day, any time. I don't care when, just DO IT!

How old is he anyway?

Tonight Bradley (who is 14) and I were riding in the car. I had the windows down and the music up. Bradley says "Mom, can you turn it down? It is too loud!"

What the heck is that all about? He liked the song so it wasn't that. Whatever! Crazy teenagers!

One step, two step, three step, four...

...soon Diego will be walking out the door. Finally he is walking.

We were helping him yesterday, and all of a sudden, he was more sturdy. He quit throwing himself at whomever he was walking too. He even turned a corner yesterday. One year and three days old, FINALLY!

Craftmatic

You can get a lifetime of temporary relief.

Huh?

Dr. Dr. give me the news

Well, I went to the Dr. today and he said everything looks good. I have two pains and he doesn't know why but he doesn't think they have to do with the surgery. I am not sure how they could have to do with anything else, but what do I know.

He said it takes 2 to 3 weeks after surgery to feel yourself again. Why couldn't they have told me this before now? I have been feeling bad for feeling so tired for days now. I thought I should feel great!

Anyway, all is well. The plan is to return to work tomorrow. I like returning on Friday's, little to do and it helps me get back into the swing of things.

Eric and I are planning to go to Mexico over Father's Day weekend. Can't wait!

Got Milk?

I love the new Got Milk commercial. The one where all the men are buying ALL the milk because it helps with PMS. That is funny. Luckily for my husband (and me) I don't get PMS. And I better not see some comment on here stating otherwise Eric!

Not as tough as I thought

Okay, I always thought of myself as tough. Tough cookie, I can handle what comes my way! I am beginning to question that. My gallbladder surgery was a week ago today. I am still in pain. If I could, I would just lay in bed ALL day (instead of most of it). I seriously thought I would be up and as good as new in a few days. I stopped taking the pain meds because they weren't helping, but I am tired of say "ow" or "damn that hurt", especially when I cough or sneeze.

I am so ready to be over this whole thing. I had four children with nothing during labor, and here I am complaining day in and out. (poor Eric). I am one who is always saying, "You don't know until it happens to you" and I guess I just assumed I would do fine.

So, two more days before I go back to the Dr. I hope to be one hundred percent by that time. (okay 82% would be good)

Don't try and google "tough cookie", you won't find me there!

Where does the time go?

Diego will be one tomorrow? How has a year passed so quickly?

Do you ever find yourself thinking, "I can't wait until..."? I have decided not to do that anymore. I realized that even if I am simply wishing for next weekend, I am wanting a whole week to pass by. A week of hearing Siobhan sing, of "Mommy, I love you", seven days of having a freshly bathed child, seven chances to see Krystal and Bradley before they are adults. Seven days I might not remember to tell my husband how much I love him.

Really, what is the rush? Everyday is special. Even those boring, at home, doing nothing days, could contain some of our best memories. You just never know.

Happy Birthday little man. I can't believe we have been blessed with a whole year of those so cute little smiles. My life is so blessed (and I will do my best to see that next time I want to explode!) I love you, Eric, Krystal, Bradley, Siobhan and little Diego. I am thankful for everyday that we spend together.

Ms. Universe

Okay we were watching, I can't believe it either. But anyway, the girls had about 30 seconds to answer a question. One girl was asked what book she would recommend. Another was asked what mistake she made that she learned from. Another was asked "What is wrong with your country and what would you do to fix it?"

What the hell is that? How fair are those questions. I am against these kinds of contest just as a general rule, but come on. At least make them fair!

    Where are those past blogs?

That said Diego slept 10 hours? I need to look at those. He has been waking up every night at least once, but most of the time twice a night. Well no more Mister. I can't take it! Tonight I let him cry it out. I think it took about an hour or a little more. The odd thing is, we ALWAYS lay him down for a nap or bedtime awake. So you would think he is used to laying there in his bed.

I don't know if it is the change. His Nana usually watches him and she isn't right now. Maybe that really makes a difference. Whatever it is, MY body doesn't seem to understand. I blame his teeth. I blame this. I blame that. Forget it. I can handle a few sleepless nights knowing it should all blow over in a day or five.

We moved Diego in with Siobhan so of course he woke her up. She is in our bed. Looks like I will be hitting the couch!

    Sad to see Gomez go

Gomez lost on The Contender tonight. I was so sure he was going to win. He has been my favorite all along. A family man through and through. He seemed to be the only one there who really enjoyed being there. He had a smile throughout and was a tiger in the ring. I do not follow boxing, I have never enjoying seeing boxing. This show has something more. For me, that something more, is now gone.

I know we will see you in the ring out there fighting the big fights. (I will be on the lookout!)

    gallbladder, how about painbladder

Wednesday night Eric took me to the ER because I had severe stomach pains. After a mere three hours (although pain meds were given sooner) we found out I have gallstones. OUCH! I have never been in so much pain in my life! I just want to say thanks to my wonderful husband for making me to go to the hospital.

Surgery is scheduled for May 31st. Seems as though everyone at least knows one or two people who have had it done if it wasn't themselves. I can't wait! It is still really tender and bland food sucks!

    Dora's a big sister

If you are anything like us, you are watching Dora along with your little one (or at least hearing it!). Dora recently became a big sister. The whole show she keeps talking about how her Mommy is having a baby (a baby, a baby, a baby!). When Dora's Dad calls Dora's cell phone (nice!), Dora and Boots rush home to see the baby (a baby, a baby, a baby), and what a surprise there are TWO babies. Is it just me or does this translate into the fact that Dora's Mommy had no prenatal care? Otherwise she would be aware that there were going to be TWO babies!

    Eric's mom

As I have been known to call her, had her back surgery last Monday (the 18th). It went well, although the surgery lasted about 2 hours longer than we expected. They didn't get her in a room until late afternoon on Tuesday, when we were finally able to see her. She is doing well, getting out of bed for short walks to help her adjust. She is having a little pain, but all in all I think she is doing real well. (Thank God!)

My mom is here watching Diego for us, (thanks mom!)

If anyone would like Carol's number at the hospital, just e-mail or call me and I will get it right to you!

    LA Galaxy kicks grass

LA Galaxy beat the Chivas USA last night 3 to 1. Ha ha. Take that you Chivas fans who were giving us a hard time as we walked through a group of them last night. Who has the last laugh now!

For those of you who don't know, the Chivas USA and the Galaxy share the Home Depot Center, so the game last night was sold out! 37,000 people! It was great. There was so much electricity in the air, wow! I can't imagine how it feels at the World Cup (which I am trying to talk Eric into going to!)

    bee update

We went out yesterday morning and there was no evidence that there had ever been even one bee in our yard. If I didn't have a photo, I think I would have thought my mind was playing tricks on me.

We did notice later in the day our neighbors had a bee guy over there collecting some bees. I guess that bee guy didn't want to let the homeowners know that if they only waited a day or two they would probably bee (get it!) gone!

    Bye bye bees!
Bee Bee go away, don't come back again some other day!

    Sad day for everyone

I would like to say a special prayer for Pope John Paul II. He was a very special Pope known for his love for children. He was always with the people. I am glad that he is no longer suffering but so sad that he is no longer with us here.

I was telling Eric that I know both of our grandparents are probably so pleased to finally meet him.

I wish I had been at home when I found out, but we were out eating. I would have liked to have learned of his passing in the comfort of my own home. Isn't it odd how we can grieve for someone we have never met but feel like we knew? He did so many wonderful things while he was here with us. I know he is finally able to feel young again. He is without pain. God bless you!

I would like to say a special thanks to my mom who called to see how I was. She knows how I am. Thanks mom!

Wow! I think I always like movies the best when I know very little about them. I knew the movie was based on Ray Charles' life, but that is about it. It was really good. I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this movie. I give it a 7.8.

  • Cute
  • What a weekend

and it is early Saturday evening. We finally made the call to have the acoustic removed from the whole house. They arrived about 2pm and told Eric they should be done about 5. So, yeah, they left around 7. It smells like wet wallpaper and it looks weird. They can't come back until Wed. to paint. So instead of putting the lights back up only to take them down again Wed, the kids are doing without in the bedrooms. It is finally starting to smell okay in here. There is still more work for Eric!

Today I took Siobhan and Krystal to the doctor. We spent a couple of hours there. Siobhan has pink eye in both eyes. (poor baby). Krystal's hip has been bothering her for about a week or two now. The Dr. took x-ray's and all looks well. She wants Krystal off the running for two full weeks and then to see her back before she starts up again. It is mid-track season! Great!

So, we are trying to reorganize our home. Good luck to us!

    Ahhh Mexico!

It is pulling my heart. It doesn't matter how recently I have been, my whole self longs to be there again. I was looking at photos from last July when the Cordova's and my good friends Natalie and Adrien joined us. Seeing Siobhan dance, the food, the pool, oh and of course, the drinks!

Plan, we need to plan another trip. How I wish we already had a house down there! How wonderful would it be to just go whenever we wanted? We could invite whomever we wanted and they wouldn't have to worry about a place to stay.

Isn't it funny how your heart can belong someone else where here is where you sit? I left my heart, in Baja, Mexico. Well it doesn't sound right, but it sure rings true!

Check out the link to his web page. You can sample his music. He really seemed like a down to earth guy. How many grammy winners do you know that come out before the show (to where the fans are) and talk to people they know. He was funny, sounded great and, well, I think I like him more now!

    The Godfather Part II

Ya know it is funny. My Dad must have watched all the Godfather movies I don't know how many times while I lived at home, but I always thought I wouldn't like "that kind of movie". I watched part II today and boy, those are good movies! No wonder everyone watches them.

If you have been like me and have not yet watched it, do so. I really think just about anyone would like it.

    bummer day for Siobhan

We had such great plans for today. We went for an early lunch at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana (one of our favorite places). Then we headed over to the Discovery Science Center (where Krystal volunteers) so we could enjoy the pigs they have there. When we pulled up, WOW. There were cars lined up, people lined up, it was crazy.

So, no Discovery Science Center. We thought we would head to Irvine Park so Siobhan and maybe Diego (if he is big enough) could ride the ponies. It is one of our favorite outings. But of course, due to the rain, the ponies are not open. Poor Siobhan.

I told her we would go home and take a nap (she has a bit of a cold) and I would take her to Chuck E. Cheese's. So she takes a nap, and off we go. Holy cow! There is a line outside the door at Chuck E. Cheese. Nobody over the age of 13 wants to go there THAT badly. So what to do? She has already been let down three times today. So we headed over to the Disney outlet where she had NO problem picking out a thing or two, then to ice cream. We are the only one's in Dairy Queen (could it be because it is pouring outside?). I ask her what she wants and I order it. Do you think she wants her ice cream? No, she looks at mine, and that is the one she wants. hee hee How could I not give in?

So we are at home, she has new Princess chanclas on her feet and a new Belle toy to play with. We are so sad for her! Luckily she is not a complainer and seems okay with her new toy. She knows we will do all those other things another time. Didn't there used to be a time when people went away for the long weekend?

    Rock on Dude

About eight months ago Eric decided that the kids needed a guitar to play with and see if it sparked any muscial interest in either Krystal or Bradley. They played with it a little and it just sat there.

Then all of sudden Bradley decided he was going to play with it. It was doing lessons over the internet, and soon was able to play Smoke on the Water (David, can you believe it?)

Bradley has spent some time on and wanted an electric guitar. So there we are, spending our Friday night (while it was raining mind you) at Guitar Center. Bradley walked out so proud with an electric guitar and an amp. He has spent every free minute these last few days in his room playing that thing. Woo hoo, finally something he is into besides soccer (Mom always said "Don't play ball in the house").

Eric and I always have music on but neither of us play an instrument. One of my brothers plays the guitar and another the drums. I was always the one who wanted to sing (too bad I don't do it well!) And now this! Where will this end? Will he form a band? Will we have to convert the garage to a place where he can jam? Will be be bugging Uncle Richard to make a recording in his studio? Have we created a monster?

Really, we are pleased. Music does nothing but help someone be creative. I just hope we soon hear many other songs then Smoke on the Water. I had enough of that with my brother!

    Uncle Buck

How cute is this movie? I saw it tonight for the first time. (Am I finally catching up on older movies or what?). I liked it, thought it was really cute. Everyone needs an Uncle Buck!

    random thoughts

If children were born as teenagers, no one would have more then one child.

    it's 3am..

.. and I feel like I should sit here and write some sappy love song.

"It's 3am, and my lover is gone
    my heart is broken
    and I'm all alone"

only, I'm not. Just everyone but Diego and I are sleeping. He is "talking" away in his crib. He thinks he has some very important 8 month old things to discuss that just CAN NOT wait until morning. Luckily for all involved he is good about just laying in his crib.

"It's 3:05 and my heart is still beating
your away and I feel like I'm needing
    some love from you
or my heart will begin fleeing"

    oh yeah, winner stuff there!

    My life won't be complete

I know this may sound shallow, but my life will not be complete until I have the game Chain Reaction by Data East Corp. I have looked and looked. I have looked for the actual arcade machine, but I can't find it. I used to play it all the time at CSUF. I called a few years ago and they said they don't have it anymore. (Probably a good thing because I would be there so often!). I don't even know where else to look. I just spent about an hour searching on the internet. I am tired of seeing screen shots, I wanna play!

    boo hoo

    When Harry Met Sally

I don't know why I am writing a review. I think I am the only person who hadn't seen this move. I really enjoyed it. It was cute, funny and romantic. My husband actually suggested we buy it. I thought it was great. I think this will probably be added to the few movies that I could watch just about any time. If you are like me and somehow made it this long without having seen this movie, watch it. Trust me, it was cute!

    Things

Siobhan turned 3 this week. I can't believe how big she is. She got some great gifts! ( I will try and put some photos up later).

Bradley is done with soccer. The last 4 All Star games were cancelled due to the rain. He will be saying a final fairwell to his coach, Kenny. He has been great. I am guessing Bradley will try out for soccer at high school next year. (Two kids in high school, how old am I?)

Krystal is getting ready for another season of track. She is working hard to bring her math grade up. She is spending time at volunteering at the Discovery Science Center, and always asking to go surfing.

Diego is standing! He stands with one hand lightly on the table. I know he is going to walk early, he is not yet 8 months. Too cute that kid. He is doing okay at night. Usually in bed by 8:30, lately up around 12 to eat and back to sleep until about 6. Eric swears he has an alarm clock in his bed.

Carol, my mother-in-law moved really close to us. She is about half a mile away. It is nice because she will not be spending time on the bus to come here and head home each day. The best thing about it, I think, is the kids can walk over and visit whenever they want.

We will be heading down to Mexico later this month to spend a weekend with my brothers. How many Pina Colada's can one have while on Weight Watchers? What? Oh, I didn't realize that everything was fat and calorie free once you cross the border. Good to know!

Eric and I are planning to head to San Francisco for a weekend alone next month. That is right, I said alone. Meaning no kids. We do everything with the kids. Need I remind everyone we took them on the Honeymoon (well, the one's that were already here anyway!) So that will be nice, and weird. We are already missing the kids.

So, there is a little about us. A few things going on.

    ants

My friend Natalie and I were talking the other day about bugs. (Don't ask why, it was on work time!) If you live in the South, there are all kinds of flying insects. You can not eat outside without having a whole bunch of bugs flying around. Here in Orange County, there are not a lot of bugs. You can spend the whole day outside and maybe be bothered by a mosquito or two around dusk. It really makes for an added bonus to a beautiful place to live.

So, what am I getting at here? Ants. I swear all of Orange County sits atop a huge underground ant colony. I HATE ants. It doesn't matter what you do, they find a way in. You can have someone come out and spray outside, then inside. You can use traps, spray, gel. Aside from getting an anteater, I don't think there is a way to be rid of the little buggers. Frankly, I am tired of it.

I am tired of waking up, walking in the kitchen, and finding I am not alone. They are in the sink, on the counter or along the backsplash. Sometimes just the little seeker guys and sometimes a whole lot of the buggers. It doesn't matter if all the dishes are washed. That there is no food left out. Everything is spotless, still, there they are.

What I don't understand is that I don't know what they are looking for. There is a sugar bowl on the counter, they NEVER go for that! Are they looking for some unknown ant delicacy? Do we offer some wonderful unseen ant cuisine? I just wish I knew how to be rid of them. Of course, everytime I use hot water to wash them down the sink, I can't help but think of the movie Ants. Poor little guys. Little bastards. I am so torn!

    Auuuggghhh!

    Strange Brew

    Take off eh! Hoser!

The Mackenzie brothers go crazy saving the local brewery, because really what else is there? Eric said he actually paid to see this movie. hee hee

The kids liked it. And frankly who doesn't enjoy saying "Take off hoser!" and hearing "eh!" in every sentence. Not to mention the beer drinking and flying dog.

I say "see it" and I give it a 5. Entertaining and funny. No sex. Safe enough for our two year old although a little cheesy, eh.

    Party Girl

Siobhan was invited to ANOTHER birthday party. This is her 3rd friend from school to have a party in the last three weeks. Yikes! I can't keep up with her. She is going to have to have her own calendar on iCal!

    10 and a half

Diego went to sleep last night at 8pm and slept until 6:30 this morning, and woke up happy!

Oh, if only he would keep this schedule.

    MXC

This a show worth watching. It is on the Spike channel. It shows game shows from Japan and then dubs over the voices. This show is sure to bring a laugh. I think it is 50/50 the stunts and the voices. But beware, these people get hurt! Eric said it must be hard to sue someone over there because no one makes it through without pain. Oh, but it is funny.

So if you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think.

    City of God

Well, I had to take a few days before I could write about this movie. Here is the description from Netflix:

Busca-Pe (Alexandre Rodrigues) lives in Cidade de Deus (City of God), a housing project reputed to be one of the most dangerous parts of otherwise magical Rio de Janeiro. He's frightened he'll end up like the countless others around him -- troubled, violent or dead. But his saving grace is his photographer's eye, through which the stories of several people who live in this forsaken "city" unfold. …

I think this is a must see. It was very intense! There were times I had to think "Okay breathe now". It was scary that it was based on a true story. The young children broke my heart, the way they were already hardened to the world. It was a very good movie though. I don't think I would watch it again because it was so intense but I will still give it a high rating of 7.

    Aztec Blanket

When Eric and I got married a family friend gave us our Aztec Blanket. It is large and has an Aztec on it (hence the name). This blanket is better then any plug-in heating blanket out there. If I am really cold, I fold it in half and put it on top of my blanket, instant heat! It is about an eight on a electric blanket.

I will wake up drenched in sweat. The human body was not meant to have so much heat at one time for so long.

You could be in the mountains, naked, and stay warm with this blanket. I think Scientist would be amazed by this thing.

Eric said that his friend at work brought one home and his girlfriend did not want to put it on the bed. She has NO IDEA what she is missing. Your husband may leave you but you will never have another cold night with your Aztec blanket. (By the way, if Eric and I ever get divorced, that blanket is mine!)

    Bubba Ho-Tep

Alright, here how Netflix describes it:
Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) is an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home; seems he switched identities with an impersonator years before his "death" and then missed his chance to switch back. The King teams up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks he's John F. Kennedy, and the two old codgers prepare to battle an evil Egyptian entity that's chosen their long-term care facility as its happy hunting grounds.

I am not sure what I thought of this movie. It was a waste of my time or anything ( my time is not so valuable). I giggled once or twice (I think). I think Eric enjoyed it alot more then I did.

I will leave this one for you Eric. No number on this one!

    Time

Where is the time going? Diego is crawling now. Siobhan was invited to her first non-relative birthday party. She will be 3 at the end of this month. How long will it really be before she is a teenager like Krystal and Bradley? How long before she is leaving us and Diego is close behind?

Kids are such a blessing and bring such joy. Most of the time I hate it when Siobhan goes to sleep, how am I going to handle it when all the kids are gone? Eric and I know we better travel because we have known no life together without kids.

Frequent travel miles here we come!

    Rudy

Sorry, I am doing all of these at once.

Rudy- a story about a boy who always wanted to play football at Notre Dame. He starts college at the age of 22, and does all he can to make it into Notre Dame and try out for the football team.

I give this movie an 8.5. I could watch it over and over again. Is there anyone who could watch this movie and not shed a tear? A wonderful family movie as well.

    Napoleon Dynamite

This review is on Napoleon Dynamite. Here is the describtion borrowed from Netflix:

This indie favorite follows Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder), a quirky, ninja-loving teenager growing up in the far reaches of Idaho. Napoleon's life gets complicated when his shady Uncle Rico (John Gries) shows up, a shy girl (Tina Majorino) starts showing him some attention and his best friend Pedro (Efren Ramirez) decides to run for school president.

I give this movie (from 1-10) a 3. I wasn't bored while I was watching it, but it didn't really do anything for me either. I wouldn't watch it again (unless I was on an airplane or in a foreign country and it was the only thing in English) but it didn't completely stink either. I just didn't find it particularly funny or entertaining.

I know alot of people thought this movie was really funny, I am just not one of them.

    Supersize Me

This is a documentary about a very healthy man who decides to eat only McDonalds for 30 days. He will only choose from the menu and will only be Supersized when asked.

I am not going to rate this move. I will however say it is a "must see". This movie needs to be seen by anyone who ever eats fast food.

In 30 days, this guy gained 25.5 pounds (took him about a year to lost it all), his cholesterol went up 65 points. His liver was was dangerously damaged due to fatty liver (something none of the doctors even thought would happen). About 2 weeks into it, all the doctors were telling him that he needed to get off "that crazy diet".

Most nutritionist say that you should NEVER have fast food. If anything, no more then once a month. Seriously, I thought once a week was okay.

If you have seen or see this movie, please let me know what you think.

By the way, watch the special features. What do you think about those french fries?

    We miss you Nan!

p.s. Diego wants you to come home and feed him some more and Siobhan wants to know if you will be here for her birthday!

    A new place to shop

Check out woot They put new stuff up daily. The writing is a crack up!

    Di's Movie Review

The latest movie is American Splender.
Here is the summary from Netflix

Harvey Pekar (Paul Giamatti) was a working-class stiff, a file clerk who found an outlet for his creativity by chronicling every minutia of his life in Cleveland, Oh., for more than 20 years in a comic-book series called American Splendor. This revealing biopic co-stars Hope Davis and tells Pekar's story through two-dimensional images, archival footage and more.

I thought this movie was VERY interesting. It is a look on how someone so negative, odd, and not lovable, become lovable. A comic book star that isn't a star, he is no hero!

From 1-10, I give it a 6.5, Eric gives it an 8 (he really liked it alot) I enjoyed it. I recommed it. I think this movie was amazingly not what I thought it would be, which just made it better. Give it a try!

Check out Harvey's blog here, it isn't exactly updated but fun to read.

See ya at "Di's Movie Review"!

Santa Claus is coming to town

Isn't it funny that we use the threat of Santa to make our children behave? I mean, has anyone ever misbehaved and been passed over by Santa? I can't tell you how many times in the last couple of weeks I have been on my way to e-mail or call Santa so Siobhan will behave. What am I doing the rest of the year? Why do I use Santa during December instead of what works throughout the year?

Something to think about. Although I will continue to say "Do I need to go e-mail Santa and tell him how you are not listening?". Maybe it is because it works! (sometimes!)

    frio

Whoever said Chicago is the windy city has not been in Orange County the last few days!

I was out shopping today and was reminded of the Gilligans's Island where he was holding on the tree and was lifted off the ground! Luckily little Diego was being carried. hee hee

    Stay warm out there!

    Please note the time

It is 2:39am and here I sit in front of my computer. Diego has been fed and is fast asleep. I have been up for about an hour already. I woke up because of these gosh darn winds which are killing me (asthma, nose is running). I thought, well at least Diego will wake up soon to eat and I am already awake. So after 6 hours, he wakes up, eats and is back asleep. Where am I? Here with you!

How can I sleep when my nose needs tissue every 30 seconds? So I check my e-mail, NONE! Now, what? Here I am.

So I could go on and on about nothing, instead I will say, please note the time and no one is on ichat. Is everyone asleep? Oh Michelle is up. Good girl!

3 more shopping days until Christmas and I have more people than that left to buy for.
