The winds are supposed to be 50 MPH today. Yesterday in some places they were over 100 MPH. We have many large fires going on here, even in Orange County. Scary. I saw the news early this morning. There was a coral of horses and the fire was just on top of the hill. The poor horses were all at one end. Someone finally let them go so they were able to run to safety.
In Orange County, horses can be taken to the OC Fairgrounds.

I don't miss the Santa Ana's at all. I remember one year when we lived in Orange that the foothills were on fire and it was terrible. The smell of smoke and wind combined does a doozy on allergies. Most everyone I know lives inland away from the fires. But the wind affects everyone.
Oh yeah, it is crazy. Those poor people in Irvine. They found out that someone started it too!
