Scared

To be honest, I am scared. I am nervous. I put my faith in American's last election and look how that turned out. What if people vote for more of the same? What if there isn't any change? My tummy rumbles at the thought of it. I know not everyone who reads this feels that Obama should be the next President but I am sure they want something other than Bush. I think no matter what we will be better off. We have to be!

Eric and I wondered what kind of world our children would be living in four years ago and look. Scary. I am scared. I guess putting my words out there don't help, still scared.

I have taken the day off tomorrow. I want to follow every BIT of election coverage I can get. I care what happens. It matters to me. I am also scared about a few propositions passing. God help us all.

I am scared also, this election has been very intense. I am excited to see how the nation votes and what will happen. I know we will be better off and things can only get better.

This election is terrifying. I can only hope that when tomorrow ends we will be moving towards change.

Gosh this post is refreshing to read. I keep reading all this stuff about how people hope McCain wins because Obama is pro-abortion. Give me strength!? Does not God, and she not we, care about things more than abortion - like the planet, the poor, the community?! And playing off that universal healthcare is akin to socialism is just manipulating the ignorant if you ask me. Ok, phew...rant over. Loved to read this post! (my point of view is not the view of the author of this post...she just [unwittingly] gave me a space to rant)

Well put Louisa. Why does the Republican party think they are the owners of religion? Many Democrats are against abortion. I think the country is headed for change, a change that starts tomorrow.

Thank for saying so Eric. I was a bit concerned I'd get "virtually" yelled at. I totally agree with you and I'm not even an American!

Di, I agree ONE HUNDRED percent with everything you said. I've been a tense ball of nerves for a couple of weeks now (well, four years really!). But sometime last night when I was up with a kid, I started to feel very hopeful and excited. I mean, we are going to have a new President today. TODAY!! Okay, I know not really until January. But we will know who that is TODAY. It is both exhilarating and terrifying all at the same time.
