yesterday we dropped Diego off at his Nana Carol's house so she could have a Diego fix, and the rest of us headed to the beach. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, one of those days where you are thankful for southern california. Krystal and Bradley took thier new surfboard out and attempted to ride the waves. Attempted! I am sure they will do much better next time.
Siobhan had great fun playing in the sand and getting wet. She was so excited when her name got washed away by the water.
Then we headed out for linner (lunch/dinner) at the Gyspy Den (yum yum) and we headed home. We got home about 5pm and I was thinking "great, it is going to be so hot inside the house", but it wasn't. It was perfect, we actually had a breeze in the afternoon.
After getting Siobhan bathed and most of the sand removed, Eric and I had a nap. Siobhan was quiet, I didn't hear Krystal and Bradley argue. It was the best nap I have had in a very long time. Went to the market, Eric and Bradley to Home Depot (should we buy stock?) and we picked up little Diego. Eric swore he gained four pounds while we were away.
Home to feed the little man, Krystal made desert, watched the Olympics, and headed to bed.
What a wonderful day. Soon Diego will be able to handle the sun and maybe eat some sand. Yesterday was one of those days that will stick in my mind for a long time to come. Who said Monday's suck?

Well, Mondays usually suck, unless you take the day off! It was sure nice to have the Kids at the beach, and it sure is great to see them on the waves.
